LOSING HOPE
tells the story of Hope Visser, a poor mother who witnesses
her daughter being teased because of the child's big ears. Hope
immediately sets out to get her child plastic surgery to fix
the "problem", only to realize that she doesn't have
nearly enough money for said operation. Hope's bumbling, religion-obsessed
husband Calvin certainly isn't of any help, neither are her
local constable brother-in-law(Malvin) and his vegan wife(Jodie).
With no other options, Hope turns to crime to solve her dilemma,
only to find herself in more trouble than ever. Things quickly
go from bad to worse. Much, much worse.
A wacky comedy in the spirit
of "Raising Arizona", LOSING HOPE was produced by
EPIC FILMS and after a long, arduous trek through post-production
has finally been completed and is currently being shopped to
distributors and submitted to film festivals. Penned by Tony
Urban and Genie Davis(PORT CHARLES), the film boasts an excellent
cast and crew. Combine that with
a plot filled with gas grill explosions, unintentional homicides,
lesbian prison fantasies and slow speed car chases, it's sure
to be a hit.
