What can be said about Shawn hunt that hasn’t already been said? Well…everything, since nothing’s ever been really said about him (aside from remarks about his enormous noggin!). After making numerous backyard productions with family and friends over the years, Shawn Hunt decided to step into the Independent B Movie arena in 2002 by creating Funhouse Pictures. Growing up, Hunt was heavily influenced by filmmakers like John Carpenter and George Romero, and their reputations of working outside the system to create their own brand of horror. His goal for the company was to make horror films that actually set out to scare their audiences, unlike so many studio (or independent) films of today. Enlisting the aid of his close friends David and Michael Passine, Marc Fenneuff and his wife Karen, Funhouse Pictures was born.

In 2004, Hunt found a like mind (as well as a new friend) in the industry in Tony Urban, who invited Hunt and Funhouse Pictures to become a part of his fast growing Crazy Ralph Films. Hunt wrote and directed the horror short “Midnight Snack”, before coming aboard as Executive Producer on Urban’s , “Hunting Season”. He is currently gearing up to direct another short film entitled “A Spider Beside Her”, as well as producing the Tim Ritter penned short film, “The Burn”, both to go before cameras in October. Throughout all of it, Hunt is preparing to direct his first feature length film, “The Shrieking”, a Bigfoot thriller written by him, which stars Splat Pack members Kelly Ray, Nathan Faudree, Anna Bridgforth, Logan Hunter and Christopher John. “The Shrieking”, which begins shooting in March 2005, is being produced by Tony Urban.
