After breaking into the movie business in 1996 as a screenwriter, Tony Urban's first taste of success came after pairing up with director Michael Addis and writing the hit comedy POOR WHITE TRASH. After selling the screenplay for a few million dollars, Tony turned to a life of decadence where he bedded a different groupie every night, snorted more cocaine than all the Baldwin brothers put together and had a posse bigger than Snoop Dog's. After a few years of living the ultimate hedonistic lifestyle, he discovered that he was broke. Tony realized that he he didn't need the ho's and the posse and the drugs to be happy(having no money helps a man see what really matters), what he needed was a healthy dose of writing.

Tony went back to work and wrote screenplays faster than JLo gets married. He won some contests, got some recognition and even sold some to the studios. But an odd thing happened. Tony realized that he wanted to be more than a writer. He wanted to be a full-fledged filmmaker and quickly went to work directing and producing. That eventually lead to the creation of CRF and, well the rest is history.

Before entering the filmmaking field, Tony worked steadily as a journalist and writer for various magazines(he's had over 100 articles published). He's also a lifelong horror fan as you'll see from the photos(the vamp pic was a Halloween costume at age 4, the Jason pic was Halloween at age 11)who truly grew up with the genre.

Tony enjoys long walks on the beach, Barry Manilow music and escargot. Okay, not really, but it sounds good. What he really likes are horror movies(good, bad, he doesn't care), DVDs and brunettes. Tony longs to become the next Tobe Hooper, but if that fails he'd be happy to become the next Ed Wood. Fame. Infamy. Is there really any difference? Not as far as he's concerned.

*Just in case you're wondering, Tony never snorted coke, slept with groupies or had a posse. His life is sad, solitary and very, very boring.
