The DVD release of Brian Clement's Binge and Purge is upon us. I was happy as hell to receive my copy in the mail... I mean where else can you get your "models that eat peoples guts" fix eh? Am I right, huh. I, getting a hard on just thinking about it... I mean the quality of the DVD. Video: Great. If I am not mistaken, this was shot on a broadcast quality VHS, and the picture is good. It isn't digital and has a little grain, but you won't notice. It doesn't hurt either, that Clement can light a scene, contrary to what he says on the commentary. But keep it in your pants, I will get to the extras in a minute. Sound: Good. there were a few moments where I couldn't understand what the actors were saying, but I think it was just the actors. Plus the gut munching comes through loud and clear! Extras: I shot my loa- I mean it's loaded. The commentary is lively and many comments are made, with little down time. Clement complains about the lighting in the film, but his worst is still better than most micro budget films I have seen. There was trailers, outakes, behind the scenes. All were entertaining, especially the outtake where they keep hitting a fake head... great stuff. Well, that's it. The DVD gets a 4 Feldman rating. Four Feldman's for the movie as well. OWN IT!!! |
