| Damn what a great movie. JOE CASTRO is one of
the best micro budget directors around today. His films never fail to
entertain and showcase plenty of gooey gore. Then again, CASTRO is a great
FX artist. He has worked on quite a few films in his day like WISHMASTER
3 and BLOOD FEAST 2. TT is just good fun. The editing and visual fx are
fantastic. I have read were a few people complain about the lack of "quality"
in the visual fx. People this movie is meant to be different and outrageous!!!!
The visuals are meant to have that cartoony feel. I also can't stress
how well the sound fx are. Just flat cool stuff with plenty of bings and
bongs(speaking of which)! Anyway's there are plenty of cool gore scenes
with intestines getting pulled out, a skull pulled through a stomach,
heads stepped on and more, and they all are very over the top and bloody.
The only complaints I have are a lack of nudity and the middle lags. There
are a nice big pair of pillows at the beginning courtesy of LIZZIE BORDEN
that are beyond spectacular, but there was a damned strip game going on
for like 30 minutes and not one of the chicks showed her goods. The actual
game is slow as hell, but when MAX CARNAGE (I think) and DR. Somethingorother
breaks loose, it makes up for it. But I can't complain. Blood, boobs that
have the right to actually be called a damn PAIR, and cartoons, what else
do you need? Well, COREY HAIM, but I guess he was busy... Yeah right!
Boo Yah!
Oh and for any of you die hard TT fans (all 2 1/2) like me, the is a sequel on the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STORY: A girl receives a DVD in the mail that is evil. A weird gorilla and a mad doctor get out of the DVD and wreak havoc. Just watch the goddamned movie. DVD: The DVD is nice. The transfer looks great and it is obvious they used really good equipment to film this with. It looks professional. We got some cool behind the scenes with CASTRO telling how the movie was shot in like 3 days with a 2000 dollar budget. He also says it was the first time he ever used a green screen because of all of the cartoon segments. And lets not forget, he made brains out of squished bananas! Only DVD complaint-no fucking commentary. Damn. The movie probably isn't for everyone. People will still probably bitch at the cartoon segments, but oh well. For everyone else, this is a great time. |
